Any time. A gas fireplace that won't light before a holiday gathering, a chimney cap torn off in a storm or water leaking at the chimney all get handled. If you smell gas or a CO alarm goes off, leave the house and call 911 and your gas company first.
Does a gas fireplace really need yearly service?
Yes. Pilots and burners get dirty, glass builds up a film, and vent caps can be blocked by nests. An annual check keeps it lighting reliably and venting safely.
My prefab fireplace has cracked panels and rust. Can it be fixed?
Sometimes panels can be replaced. If the unit is old, discontinued or badly rusted, replacing it with a new wood or gas unit is often safer and simpler.
What does it take to build an outdoor fireplace?
A proper footing below frost depth, a firebrick-lined firebox and a chimney sized for the opening. We handle design, any HOA drawings and the full build.
Can my old farmhouse chimney be used again?
Usually, after an inspection, top repairs and a stainless liner. We'll tell you honestly if it needs more work.
Do you remove animals from chimneys?
We work with humane wildlife removal when needed, then install a screened cap so they can't return.
